My Mother Margaret Molly Birch with my sister Jacqueline Birch, this photograph was taken not many months before she died at the age of 46 leaving 5 children the youngest being 5 years old, Molly's family originated from Cornwall where her ancestors had lived for many generations, she had the gift of second sight and had foreseen her own death.
The saga still goes on, I continue for some reason to witness these UFO phenomena, I have some time ago in 2004 photographed one other UFO event of which I have given all information and photographic evidence to the MOD for their analysis by their specialised departments, I have also included many other parties including FUJI and CANON representation, also Astro-Physics department of a university, and also official MOD air bases in the vicinity, I also contacted private and commercial airports, my hope was that at least this event might be given some explanation - yet any definition is still not forthcoming only a classification of UFO.
My decision was not to publicise any details of this occurrence what so ever at the time, there would be no gain but only hard cynicism against me, and so I decided to involve Andy Roberts and Dr David Clarke soon after the photograph was taken, I supplied them with a copy each of the photograph for their own analysis, they have promised not to make public any details of this event - hopefully we now might be able to make public the outcome of the investigation which started in 2004 and now spans almost 4 years.
Andy Roberts made his first trip to the MOD in London with me personally back in 2004 regarding this new photograph, he informed me that he had not entered the building or the secret world of room 6/73 in Whitehall ever before, although it was something he had hoped might happen one day, we both finally entered the building as was pre arranged by liaison with myself and the MOD - after high security checks and then given identity tags we were met by two personnel who were part of the UFO investigation team - the in depth files and tests were passed over including the new UFO photograph - through that first meeting Andy was allowed to procure another interview within this secret and shrouded department for a later date to talk about UFO's.
This was my second meeting within the MOD regarding UFO's, I understand I am the only person that has been invited to this secret department in regards to a photograph of UFO's - this is even more unusual stating the fact that I have been asked twice to do so.
I have much paperwork from the MOD to hand and details of tests created by the MOD regarding the second photograph, all correspondence is officially labelled under the MOD and signed by their analysis's who undertook the tests, or by personnel from room 6/73. I also have detailed results from FUJI Film and Canon, and Kodak Laboratories, and many other experts. I am aware that certain aspects of the tests and analysis's reports cannot be made public, this has been made clear to me by the MOD, and is not within the freedom of information act for access.
I also am aware that my past will create much cynicism against me if I publicise this latest photograph, and therefore it might have been easier to just let the incident fade away, and to keep it private - it is something I have thought about in great depth - I sincerely do not want a re-run of the 1962 media mania, and theft of my photograph for use by authors or editors who see only profit.
I am now an experienced 59 year old - but back in 1962 I was a frightened 14 year old schoolboy who was used by many to create mass profit for them selves, without any interest in myself as a person or in the science of the photograph or incident - culminating in the theft of the UFO negative by persons known within the UFO fraternity and then sold through an advert in the Flying Saucer Review.

My father Alex Birch Snr, he had experienced
one paranormal event earlier in his life, but he was basically a down to
earth man, after the famous 1962 UFO photo was taken he tried his
hardest for many years to evoke the Air Ministry to admit that
UFO's did exist - Both Mr Birch Snr and young Alex Jnr met a member of
the Royal family in London to discuss the UFO photograph taken by his
son, Alex Snr died at the age of 58 soon after his wife Molly.
